ALPHA 49C Strange starting place

    I just started a new game, and after a few seconds I noticed that I was on a very limted zone. Is this a bug ? or did I miss boats ? (the south limit is the map border)

    Hmm, I guess we don't actually check that the land mass we start you on is sufficiently large.

    You can certainly build a pretty decent colony there. I suppose traders and so on will have to take a sea journey, if they can get up to you at all...

    It's an island paradise! We just need a tourist office and some beach resorts.:)

    you've been playing too much Tropico :-D
    I've started another game, and found myself in a similar situation (small island), but with an element to spice up : mechanoids on the spot, making all the colonists to run in horror as soon as arrived. But I did not made a screenshot :(
