Dredmor Patch 1.0.10 RC9 Feedback Thread - I Believe in The Lever Fix

    Unless I missed something, here are all the changes in the XML files between RC2 and 1.0.9. I did leave out some comment changes, and a few description changes. The list of changes are in order as they are found in each file. Even the files were examined alphabetically.

    The little arrow in the list below, ->, means "changed to".

            Blackjack appears to have a fix applied. Now has after="1" that was not there before.

            Second Sight: EDR: 3 -> 5

            Eye Lasers: New description indicates scaling with Sight Radius.

                Haematic Drain (the bad part of Phylactery) is no longer "bad". Uncurse won't remove it.
                Haematic Refresh (the heal)
                    Removes 1 Haematic Drain by name instead of acting as Uncurse.

    Simply said, in that save there's a lever on the right side of the room I'm in, using it will crash the game. There's also a displacement glyph that you might accidentally walk into so don't immediately hit right.

  5. I don't think we have jeans in the game. We do have denim jackets though. I could be wrong though.

    Really? I seem to remember it working in a previous build, but I guess I could be wrong.

    Interesting bug I just stumbled upon, there was a magic potato two spaces away from me. As I walked towards it I right-clicked on a dr. sanin's new style pilsner and my character started drinking it halfway between two squares. When the drink animation finished, I was on the next square standing on top of the potato.

    Very easy to reproduce with any consumable/monster.

    Me, J-Factor, and Essence were having a discussion and we decided that it would be great if the AOE damage from item spell effects like bombs, grenades, flasks, would get bonus damage scaling when the player had points in the appropriate crafting skill.

    For example,

    hand grenades, thermite bombs, etc deal bonus damage when the player has points in tinkering.
    acid and brimstone flasks deal bonus damage when the character has points in alchemy.

    Sounds neat. It might be better to make a new thread in the suggestions forum rather than make a new suggestion in the patch feedback thread. I'd like this patch released some day! :D

    Today was eaten by moving. Tomorrow: probably more of the same (plus: All of the Meetings, getting the Odin Art Team assembled, etc.) Hopefully we'll get this thing dealt with this weekend, although I have to find some time to do a whole bunch of other stuff. It never ends!

    Teleporting with a destroyonmove polymorph buff crashes the game.

    Skimming through this thread, one fact jumps out at me:

    Squish one bug, 2 more take it's place. Dredmor code is apparently infested with Aether Cockroaches.

    Ok, today i was playing and 2 things i spotted:

    If you use the Ingredients filter on the Wand creatingTool , the selection square gets one "house" down of its supposed location:

    Oh yeah, just noticed, couldn't people technically get the game for free on this thread? It's a bit silly for business...

    It's a patch, not a full game. If you try to run the game simply from downloading RC2 without having DoD installed, you're going to run into a LOT of problems since there are a lot of required files missing.

    Touche, but if people really wanted to, they could make their own sprites and sounds, etc. Then it would be illegally getting the game. But no one would do that, soo...yeah.

    Haha, it wouldn't work that way. There would be a lot of missing files the game requires to run.
