[Skill] Inquisitor

Inquisitor is a wizard skill focused around destroying undead and demons. While a wizard skill, it is designed for gish-style characters (that is, warrior/wizards).

Smite Evil​

The proper term is, 'Smite Evil,' not, 'Bump Uglies'.​

(deals extra damage and knockback to undead and demons on a short cooldown)​

​

​

Holy Sword​

Not necessarily a sword, mind you, just the idea of one will do.​

(gives you extra damage against undead and demons for 12 attacks, costs mana)​

​

​

Martyr's Aegis​

There, but for the grace of god, go you.​

(gives you a hefty defensive, brittle buff for some mana, sheds light and destroys stealth)​

Know Thine Enemy​

It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.​

(targeted enemy is debuffed and muted, debuff is brittle and costs mana)​

Solemn Vow​

Your patron shields you from harm for your mighty faith.​

(passive broad-spectrum resists)​

​

Divine Restoration​

By the power of Krong, you are HEALED!​

(heals and uncurses for a big chunk of mana; passively buffs your regen)​

 

Looks interesting.

I'll post some real feedback when I get the chance to mess around with it.

 

A suggested change for the know thine enemy description:

Your father always told you: "Before you speak ill of somebody, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes!"

I used to play D&D with Rich Burlew aka GiantInthePlayground. He's kind of a jerk. Brilliant comic mind, though.

 

That's what I hear. Not exactly uncommon in either web cartoonists or D&D players, though.
