what is the max level i can get to in dredmor? looking like i will run out of 2 levels. i hear max is 30th. thanks
There is no level cap, but levels only improve you if you use it to buy a skill. This means that your effective level cap depends on the skills you picked. There aren't many skills with lots of buys, but the theoretical max becomes 7 * 8 if you pick 7 skills with 8 abilities each. However some skills give additional bonuses more than the inherent bonus from your levels, so levels invested in something like Killer Vegan can be worth way more than a level invested in something like Psionics. To understand how leveling works: Each level gives 1 to each primary stat Wizard levels give an additional +1 to Warrior levels give an additional +1 to Rogue levels give an additional +1 to That's all there is to it. Each time you buy a new skill, you get a primary stat improvement overall of +9 extra primary stats. How far you can take this depends on what skills you have, and some skills provide bonuses and penalties over and above this, like extra from killer vegan and extra from piracy.
