Self-Sealing Stem Bolts?

I'm curious right here, Today Brax was selling an Item which is the title of the Thread. Knowing that it is a new item, I decided to buy it and try the item out.

The problem is that I don't know what it does. I tried Right Clicking it as if it were a potion or food source, tried firing it from the cross bow, i've tried everything.

So i'm wondering, have you found this item and if so, do you know what it does?

 

Sadly I believe it's an item for the crafting that was never implemented for dlc items.

 

It's a DS9 reference: self-sealing stem bolts are useless and no one wants them.
