People too frequently get away with this kind of stuff...

Thankfully, not this time (granted, the punishment is probably a bit too lenient for what these people did).

This is just the latest chapter in a series of stories that I've been following for a while now. These are not the only people who have been selling fake bomb detectors. Among those scammed include the British Government (even after being warned that the detectors were fake), and the Iraqi military, who as recently as last year were still using the fake bomb detectors at security checkpoints, insisting that they actually worked.

 

An appropriate sentence would be life as a real live bomb detector. (I.E. make them walk through minefields until they find one.)
