Variety is essential to good gameplay experiences. Those three above looked good, but I have bought what looked good only to find it was awful. I just wanted to hear if anyone has tried any of these. Thank you for reading.
I have played Lost Labyrinth. It's decent, not my favorite roguelike though. But it's pretty unique. I'm pretty sure there's a demo on the main site, check it out.
I hadn't heard of any of them but I did check out the demo for Lost Labyrinth after I read your post (only one that interested me) and realized very quickly that I had no idea what I was doing. I seemed to have cleared a level, and then had absolutely no idea of how to proceed after that. It definitely has lots of different skills, but I'm baffled about what to actually do in the game to proceed. I know that there is supposed to be a tutorial, so I'll have to give that a look if I can find it. BTW, it took me a while before I figured out that I had a torch -- the keys seem to be very finicky as to how and whether or not they will actually work when you press them. that may be ok when you know the game well, but when you are lost, it's not immediately obvious that you aren't actually playing completely wrong and that your problems are mostly due to bugs.
