Day-To-Day Work Logs and Woot! Engine Stuff!

    Oh man, this sounds really good.
    Are you gonna make the game generate a log like this (in general) as well?

    Nicholas said that it would be a good idea to have a log for important events. That said, this early on we can't promise anything.

    Ok i'm curious now,

    Is the obleskian symbiote a consequence of Madness(tm), corrupting the building ? Will this type of thing will be decided by the player or will it happen because the citizen who designed the sanatorium happened to be fan of the Obleskian cult ?
    If madness happen, can't we just destroy the building and try again rather than deal with the consequence ?

    Then i have trouble with the concept of "clean-burning madness", is madness a tangible resource you can burn ? does it involve burning madness afflicted items ?

    Why a Sanatorium is producing energy anyway ?

    Anyway i love the concept of having several factions we can work with, and potentially double cross the empire, but then what happens to our Bureaucrat's career ? Will he be able to corrupt the empire from within if for instance he decides to work with the Obleskians people ? Or will he start a new career as a cultist rather than a bureaucrat ?

    Will the social status of citizens modified depending on our affiliation with factions ? (for instance we can imagine that, by working with Faction X, the poets would rise as an Elite of our society rather than pariah, the horror).

    This game look so much fun, but so far I only understand the clockwork part, the insanity-lovecraftian part is rather obscure and unfathomable (as it should be ^^)

    It's actually burning the madness clean, and that's what they do at the sanatorium and that's why you need it.
    Why the sanitarium needs power? Why, the lovely Victorians just discovered Electro Shock Therapy ^^

    What are you both talking about.
    The Obleskian symbiote is using Madness as a fuel to produce Perfectly Safe Steam, that's why it has pipes connected to it.

    Because the Obeliskian feeds off of the Madness and produces heat as a waste product, which is used to generate Perfectly Safe Steam.
