Colonist needs and the passage of time.

    COLONIST NEEDS:
    Could you outline the needs of the colonists? What sort of things do colonists want and/or need? How does the AI determine the best way to meet those needs? To what extent will a colonist's needs be special and/or procedurally randomized?

    To what extent have you determined how you as the player are responsibile for attending to the needs of your colonists? Can you permit/forbid access to the food stockpile? Can you regulate what food resources are consumed? To what extent is this control possible? over groups of colonists? individuals? all or none?

    TIME
    How quickly does time pass in the game? Will the player need to pause the game often to make decision on the design and production of his colony? or will time pass relatively slowly so the player has ample time to make decisions and implement them? Will the player be able to change the game speed?
