As entertaining as it is to pretend I'm actually typing into a thaumateurgical cogitator to get the portals working, sometimes it's a little more convenient to have copy & paste functionality. I mean, I've already typed it down once into an open Notepad window.
It might be even more fun to add a craftable or lootable item specifically for storing and entering found magic addresses. Kind of like Commander Vimes' "Gooseberry".
