The optimal amount of time between releases is a fluid thing. Too much time and things feel stale. If there happens to be a serious bug blocking important aspects of the game, these times drag on... Too little time, and things can feel rushed... if you are a slow builder, like I am, you don't feel like you are able to exercise newer mid-game content...

Note that I refer to Experimental builds with respect to releases, as there isn't variation between main builds.

I prefer longer waits if it translates to more features in the experimental build to play around with, but that's not always the case when there's a lot of backend work going on.

Sometimes the wait can be excruciating when the devs clearly hint at some special incoming goodies. This is the case for this month. 47A was a bit light, but there's some great stuff about to drop. *Probably*

Not to mention features that have been hinted at for months... I am developing a desire for the barracks upgrade that is not logically proportional to the utility of the feature in part because of how long it has been dangled in front of us. :)

Yep. Barracks upgrade is waiting on me, and is thoroughly clogged. I have to get the building placer and module placer rewrite done before anything can get out the door, and as it's a complex system and I want it *right* (and locked down, or as locked down as we can get) for release - yes, it is taking its sweet time. But yes, I hear you.

I can wait on releases. But the weekly article is a must.
I've become addicted to the easy-to-understand articles that explains a lot of the background's of making games.

The excellent blog post are what initially attracted me to this game, two years ago. I would read one, forget the game existed for a couple of months, stumble across another post, be impressed, and eventually subscribe to the blog, which eventually led me to getting in on CE slightly before Early Access.

I'm sure the Hotfixes on the weekly articles are just as intense as the gameplay. Those particular times that you say "Those soldiers were prone to wander to the back of the inn" just happen to be typed "Those soldiers were porne to wander to the back of the inn" : )

I don't mind time between builds if there is a slip of a hint that "we're looking good for something new this week" so that I can decide, do I try this crazy thought on how to build it up this time? or should I not start a new one if I 'think' that in another day the save will be unusable.
