Whats the highest level you've been on?

    1, obviously. Any higher then that is literally impossible.
    The lowest level I've been on so far is 2.

    Not if you allow yourself to save your progress and do mistake. Obviously, at start, you'll do nothing but die. Let yourself learn the game then try going rogue.

    I'm at level 4, without any food left... The boss room got me by surprise, but I managed to drive them to hell.

    I've gotten to level 2, but nothing past that. Permadeath's a lovely bitch, if I do say so myself.
