Vlad Digula's stats-- good lord

    So, I decided to explore the wizardlands before I was ready and I stumbled upon this guy and I can't even scratch him. Any tips to beat him or am I just screwed and have to start a new game? I can't seem to get past his room so, any suggestions? First game I had got to all the way down to level 7 too :(

    I think it's strange that vlad digula and dredmor can both be shut down by a door.

    Onie, I think you are pretty much screwed. Sorry. If you cannot really hurt him there is no ... "But wait, he is ticklish! He dies in one hit while giggling." so you are pretty much dead. Give it a try anyway. If you must die, die fighting!

    Ruigi, I agree. But at least they cannot move diagonally. That would suck. They should however blast the crap out of any closed door near them. Make all doors invulnerable to all damage except if it has taxa door and give each of them a constant AoE that has taxa door too.

    (I know, way more work than it is worth, but still it seems silly. And nothing about this game is silly. :rolleyes: :confused:)

    They are like Daleks and stairs (well the old daleks before they learned how to levitate). Maybe they lack opposable thumbs?

    Woot!!!!! Just killed Vlad Digula on GR/PD!
    My build was:
    Clockwork Knight
    Tinkering
    Smithing
    Burglary
    Paranormal Investigator
    Perception
    Master of Arms
    [​IMG]
    BTW, used lots and lots of missiles, plus occasional CK/Perception skills.

    I know the devs wanted to add the ability for monsters to open doors a long time ago, never made it in though.

    That's kind of what I figured, this game always sucks me in and then shuts me down for some reason. Ah well, time to ignore it until another exp pack is out.

    My experience is that the best way to defeat him is to shoot him full of Clockwork Drill Bombs

    My rape senses are tingling...

    But hey, you could've gotten out of that; it really depends on whether you have teleport skills, because if you do, herding both of them in one room and closing the doors is kosher.
