[01:01] <Ruigi> I just had a brilliant idea [01:01] <Ruigi> inspired by the TF2 buff banner [01:01] <Ruigi> ok [01:01] <Ruigi> so instead of Killing Blow [01:01] <Ruigi> for berserker rage [01:02] <Ruigi> we have this super free crits buff that lasts 30 rounds [01:02] <Ruigi> except [01:02] <Ruigi> you can only trigger it after you kill 100 enemies [01:02] <Ruigi> once you kill 100 enemies, you have a "berserker rage superbuff" ready [01:02] <Ruigi> buff [01:02] <Ruigi> that you deactivate (alternatively, this buff can enable the use of a skill on the skill bar) [01:02] <Ruigi> to release the super rage [01:03] <Ruigi> which gives you 100% crit plus melee power for 30 rounds [01:03] <Ruigi> wouldn't that be better than killing blow? This would also be a good way to balance abilities like charge of the steam brigade and manacalypse, especially now that magical law makes it possible to repeat infinately recursive abilities ad infinitum.
While I do like the idea, it's not like you can't do it now. It's just that it would require making a lot of dummy spells and copy-pasted dummy buffs that would be used for the purpose of counting it, but it definitely is possible to do that.
I like this idea because Killing Blow is such a disappointing capstone. One hit? That's all? (especially since the ability has low priority so by the time you get it your is probably pretty high anyway)
It'd be cool if Killing Blow also worked like the Hexaxe, and had a chance (maybe not 100, but maybe that would be fine) to proc itself whenever you killed something. Blood Magic for warriors! Except less magic and more blood. Or keep it as-is and add a 6th level that gave the chance to get it.
Reminds me of Doom3's soul cube. ...Worth it just to hear the Dredmor Announcer voice say "Use Us!" >>
