    Description: "Clearly a sword for kings who actually know how to use one."

    Powers: +5 :crit:, +5:counter:, +5 :edr: You have a chance on attacking or being hit, around 5% on attacks and 10% on taking damage, to gain the "Blood of Kings" buff, which gives you +1 :melee_power:, +1 :crit:, +1 :counter: , and +1 :edr: for 5 turns. It also stacks indefinitely, but the 5 turn limit should keep it from getting too out of hand.
    Craftable: Yes, Excalibur + Savvarius, Greatsword of the Amusin Clan + Doul's Possible Sword

    Note: I sort of tried to make Caledfwlch SLIGHTLY better than Savvarius, basically it has a cool buff and slightly better stats, but no Artifact powers. On one hand, it won't ever come with generally useful stuff like Trap Affinity unless you Krong it, but on the other hand, everything on it will always be useful for Warriors. Feel free to tweak it a bit if you feel it's overpowered/underpowered. Oh, and by the way, Caledfwlch's sprite should be just a plain looking broadsword, and if you could make the "Blood of Kings" buff icon a picture of Freddy Mercury, it would be perfect.

    Item Name: Critical Tomatoes
    Type: Thrown
    Description: "These tomatoes fly at incredibly high velocity at the source of bad jokes. Someone has stamped the number 504 on the side."
    Price: ???
    Damage: 5 :dmg_crushing:, 1 :dmg_putrefying:
    Powers: 100% chance to lower an enemy's :armor_asorb: and :block: by a decent amount. They could maybe have a 20% chance to "splat" and give the same debuff to enemies standing nearby your target.
    Craftable: No

    If anyone knows what the tomatoes are a reference to, you get a free hi-five.

    This seems to have caught on rather quickly. I can start working on items as soon as I fix a few bugs, but I need some help on this.

    When throwing a Diggle-Bone the game crashes. I have been able to duplicate it multiple times but do not know the cause. If anyone can duplicate this or even look at the code and find whats wrong I would appreciate it because it looks like things should work.

    Worst case scenario I comment it out, but then the possibility of future thrown items I create being bugged would still remain.


    Thoughts on Item Balancing
    If you ever come across an item that seems overpowered please let me know as I can easily tweak things.​
    Notice on Items With On-Hit Effects
    Buffs and de-buffs I can do rather easily, but I have not yet mingled in AOE spells. Or ranged spells for example: wands. Mainly due to animation effects.​
    As far as buffs are concerned I can get away with no animations much easier than with other spells.​
    Adamantine & Chitin Suggestions
    Any ideas of items that are made of these materials? Adamantine is a mid/late game high quality metal. Chitin will be more of an early/mid game quality.​
    Similarly Adamantine is for warriors mostly. While Chitin is intended for rougues.​
    Wizards have a new wizardly crafting material coming soon!​

    I'm going to stop taking requests for a little bit before things get to overwhelming. Myself and MrAltamente have quite the list of items to work on.

    Any requests following this post will be considered but are not going to be started until we get caught up with current requests and a few personal items to put some crafting materials in the last update to use.

    • Two new necklaces/amulets are nearly finished!
    • Thrown items bug potentially solved.
    • Spells!!! Spells!! and, more Spells are being worked on!!!!

    Im happy enough to write up the xml for my ideas, though it will likely take a few days before I can get to them. While competent at xml I have yet to mod anything for dredmor so may take a few days to get them all done as well.

    Sugestions or guides as to costs and artifact levels to set items too would be of assistance as I realy have no clue what amount is best for those.

    Well for yours, they'd be pretty high level. Existential being a rare element, with few enemies having any resistance to it until the very low levels IIRC. Cosbian Horror, Tesseract and nether cube and the other cube slimes are the only creatures with resistance to existential.

    Good to know about the existential damage being rare, I'll keep it in mind. I chose it for the theme, given they are conceptually dangerous rather than being of some raw power.

    Semi-Significant Update.

    • No new items, however there were multiple bug fixes involving:
    • Fixed thrown weapon bugs
    • Fixed crafting bugs
    • tweaked some prices
    • and some other small balancing tweaks

    The XML for my items so far, hopefully its all good.
    Not usre if thrown items can have a percentage chance property added to them for the hit efffect, so I excluded it from Sticks and stones so it just does it on hit.
    Also I excluded the visual debuff from the pen weapons as I have no idea if it's of any effect on a monster let alone of any real use in melee anyway and the basic damage does the theme anyway.
